Hello WSTA Members!

We are thrilled to announce that registration for this year’s Professional Development Conference is officially open! We invite you to join us on May 15-16 at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, WA.

This year’s theme, ‘Advocate, Educate, Elevate – Together We Succeed,’ speaks to the heart of TRIO’s mission—advocating for students, fostering learning, and uplifting individuals and communities through opportunity. This conference is an opportunity to learn how to share our students’ stories and program successes in meaningful ways, expand our knowledge while empowering each other, and elevate our collective impact in the TRIO community.

We are extremely grateful to Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LW Tech) for their incredible support for this year’s conference. Keynote speakers include LW Tech President Dr. Amy Morrison; LW Tech Executive Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Robert Britten; and updates from NAEOP and COE. Look out for the Call for Proposals right after Policy Seminar.

Registration Costs

  • Early Bird is $150 until March 30th
  • Regular registration is $175 until May 4th
  • Late registration is $200 up to the day before the conference
  • See the registration page for single day rates, costs for TRIO Alum/Students and Non-WSTA attendees

Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Kirkland

  • The Washington State TRIO Association has secured a hotel room block for 25 rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Kirkland (less than 2 miles from LWTech) at the government rate ($188 plus tax) from Wednesday, May 14 – Saturday, May 17.

  • The last day this room block will be available is Thursday, April 17.
  • Please note that all hotels in this area charge an additional parking fee. At the Courtyard, the rate is $15/day.

Seattle Marriot Redmond

  • The Washington State TRIO Association has secured a hotel room block for 60 rooms at the Seattle Marriot Redmond (about 4 miles from LWTech) at the government rate ($188 plus tax) from Wednesday, May 14 – Saturday, May 17.

  • The last day this room block will be available is Wednesday, April 9.
  • Please note that all hotels in this area charge an additional parking fee. At the Courtyard, the rate is $15/day.
